Fiber Protect by Fiber Fresh

Fiber Protect is a scientifically developed equine feed comprising fresh lucerne and proprietary Xanotyde fermentation. It is New Zealand’s only fibre registered under ACVM for ulcer prevention and healing. Rich in digestible protein, lysine, minerals, and natural energy yet low in starch and sugar, it supports gut function, helps buffer stomach acid, and builds topline and immunity.

Usage

Target Species: All horses (performance, leisure, breeding)

Indications:

• Gastric ulcer prevention/healing

• Buffering high‑grain diets

• Supporting gut health during stress/travel

• Enhancing topline, muscle, and condition

Feeding Recommendations:

• Minimum 2 kg/day; no upper limit

• For buffering concentrate feeds: 2:1 ratio fiber to grain (e.g. 2 kg Fiber Protect + 1 kg grain)

• Performance horses often receive 4–6 kg/day; adjust to body weight and workload

• For ulcer healing: approx. 1.75 kg per 100 kg bodyweight/day; maintenance about 1 kg per 100 kg
