The KERBL Lower Cutting Plate 31 Teeth is engineered from wear-resistant carbon steel with a vacuum-hardened, CNC-machined surface for outstanding durability and precision. The standard variant delivers a cutting height of approximately 3 mm under typical clipper setups, making it ideal for general body clipping of horses and cattle. For applications requiring an ultra-fine finish, such as show clipping or fine detail work, the “1 mm” variant offers the same 31-tooth design but a significantly finer cut.  Both variants are designed to fit compatible clipper systems (such as those by Aesculap/KERBL) that accept 31-tooth lower plates, allowing for easy upgrades or maintenance replacements.

Usage

Target Species: Horses

Application:

• Installed as the lower blade/cutter plate in a compatible animal‐clipping machine for removing hair from large animals in body clipping, shearing, or finishing work.

Method:

• Ensure the clipper motor and head unit are switched off and unplugged.

• Remove the existing lower cutter plate from the clipper head following manufacturer’s instructions.

• Align the new 31-tooth cutter plate into the head in the correct orientation, ensuring proper seating and clearance.

• Secure the plate in place, reattach any retention screws or clamps, and reinstall the upper cutter plate (if changed) and the rest of the head assembly.

• Oil the blade head and perform a short test run to ensure smooth cutting and correct clearance.

• After use, clean the cutter plate by brushing off hair and debris, wiping down with appropriate oil or blade spray, and storing the clipper head in a dry, protected environment.

Frequency:

• Use the cutter plate for every large-animal clipping or shearing session as part of your regular clipping kit.

• Inspect blade condition before each use, replace when teeth are worn, nicks appear or cutting performance declines.

• For extensive professional work, consider sharpening or replacing at regular intervals to maintain clipping quality and reduce animal stress.
