Liquid Hoof Dressing by Kevin Bacons

The Liquid Hoof Dressing by Kevin Bacons is an artisanal formula produced in Belgium from macerated laurel leaves and vegetable oils, free from synthetic chemicals. It rapidly penetrates the hoof to nourish and soften the hoof wall while still allowing the horn to “breathe”, avoiding pore-clogging. Regular application helps prevent the hoof wall from drying out, protects the foot from excess moisture and activates horn growth. Suitable for foals, performance horses, or any horse needing improved hoof condition, the 500 ml size makes it convenient for regular use or smaller stables.

Usage

Target Species: Horses

Application: Apply to the hoof wall, sole and frog as part of a hoof care routine to maintain supple horn, support growth and protect against environmental extremes.

Method:

• Clean each hoof thoroughly to remove dirt, debris and excess moisture.

• Using the applicator cap or a brush, apply the Liquid Hoof Dressing evenly over the outside of the hoof wall, the sole and the frog.

• For normal hoof condition: apply approximately 2 applications per week.

• In dry weather: increase applications to 4-5 times per week. 

• For very dry or compromised hooves: hose the feet, dry them, then apply the dressing daily for up to a week to restore condition.

• Store in a cool, dry area and keep the container sealed when not in use.

Frequency:

• Ideal for regular (weekly) use in maintenance.

• Increase frequency when conditions are extreme (dry, hard ground) or after events where the hoof may have been stressed.
