The Mustad LiBero range is engineered as a ¾-fullered all-round steel shoe designed to follow the natural shape of the hoof, with left/right and front/hind specific variants. It features section-to-size dimension adjustment, rounded/boxed edges and is built for a wide variety of terrains (turf, synthetic, sand) and disciplines. With multiple size combinations (such as 20×8 mm, 22×8 mm, 25×8 mm) and clip configurations (1 clip, 2 clips), the LiBero offers farriers and riders a broad selection to fit different hoof sizes, workloads and disciplines.
Usage
Target Species: Horses
Application: Fitted by a qualified farrier to the horse’s hoof during shoeing; the LiBero shoe is intended for general riding, pleasure driving, jumping, leisure or sport work.
Method:
Farrier selects the correct LiBero size and section (e.g., 20×8 mm, 22×8 mm or 25×8 mm) and clip configuration appropriate for hoof size, discipline and horse workload.
Hoof is prepared: cleaned, trimmed, balanced, and the shoe selected is fitted, either with nails and/or clips as specified.
Shoe is seated and nailed/clipped correctly; ensure correct heel fit, quarter fit and that the shoe follows the shape of the hoof.
After shoeing, monitor the horse’s gait, hoof wear and check periodically until the next shoeing interval.
Frequency:
Use each shoeing cycle when this shoe model and size are appropriate.
Regularly inspect for wear, correct fit and any excessive movement, and adjust or change as necessary.
