Usage

Application: Used by farriers for trimming hoof walls, removing excess hoof material and preparing the hoof for shoeing or maintenance.

Method:

• Ensure the nippers are clean, sharp and properly maintained.

• Place the hoof securely on the stand; identify the section of hoof wall to trim.

• Position the nipper jaws around the wall edge, squeeze the handles firmly and cut in a controlled motion.

• Use a hoof rasp to finish the edge after nipping.

• After use, clean off debris, wipe down, dry and store in a safe tool rack. Inspect the nipper for wear or misalignment before next use.
