Usage

Target Species: Horses and cattle (and other livestock compatible with the clipper model)

Application: General body clipping, coat trimming, and grooming suitable for winter coats, shedding, or preparing for warm-weather work.

Method:

• Install the GT501 upper cutter plate onto a compatible clipper head (e.g., models using cutter head GT367/G GT474, etc.).

• Pair with an appropriate lower cutter plate (e.g., GT502 narrow 31-tooth lower blade) to achieve ~3 mm clip depth.

• Ensure the clipper is unplugged/off when installing the blade. Tighten clamping screws and adjust plate pressure per manufacturer instructions (as described in GT-series manual).

• Use shear oil during clipping sessions to lubricate blades, reduce heat, and extend blade life.

• After clipping, clean and dry the cutter plates, and oil lightly for storage to prevent rust.

Maintenance Frequency:

• Sharpen or replace plates when effectiveness declines (e.g., hair pulling, poor cut, uneven clip).

• Clean and lubricate after every few animals or at least daily during high-volume clipping to maintain performance and longevity.
